Get on the Tainui Tribal Register!If you are from Makaurau Marae but aren’t registered through Tainui, visit http://www.tainui.co.nz/tridevunit/tribal_rego.htm and download an application form.
Registration allows you:
- to identify yourself as a tribal member;
- access to education and charitable purposes grants distributed by Tainui;
- to have a say. Tribal members 18 years can vote on tribal matters;
- to stand for election to Te Kauhanganui o Waikato Inc.
Registration allows Tainui to:
- improve communications to Waikato-Tainui whaanui.
- Quarterly editions of Te Hookioi and the Annual Report are forwarded to registered addresses;
- determine
Marae grant allocations. Distributed annually, Marae grants are
calculated based on the number of tribal members registered against
respective Marae;
- provide opportunities for tribal members to engage with our work; and
- plan for the future.
Tribal members under 18-years are encouraged to register. Parents or guardians may sign on behalf of minors.
